Are you sure
this is the right way?
Somewhere in
Maine
September 1, 1999
From the time we started traveling I have
been delegated "the Navigator", along with several
other titles such as; Tour Director, Editor, Assistant Author,
Indoor Cook, etc. Well, my primary duty when we are on the move
is to get us from point "A" to point "B"
safely (and according to Bob, without getting us down a dead end
street where he has to turn this 48ft rig - including trailer and
truck - around.) Normally this goes very well, and we get where
we are going. But this time it sure looks like I might have been
holding the map upside down. From looking at the sign in this
picture you would think that we had ended up somewhere in another
country. However, we were actually at a crossroads in Lynchville,
Maine, where we photographed a much publicized road sign. After
some careful examination of our mapping program, we determined
that all of these cities were indeed cities in Maine and were at
the distances given on the sign. I just figured this would be a
cute addition to our many "serious" stories on our
website. If anyone is interested in viewing and/or photographing
this sign, it is located at the intersection of Routes 5 and 35,
in Lynchville, Maine.
Good Luck! Have Fun! and Stay
Safe!
Laura
